Castle Menzies – new paintings
I have just finished a wee project of paintings of Castle Menzies. I walk the dog in the area two or three times a week and its amazing how much it changes each time. I have tried to capture the castle at different angles, in different seasons and different times of the day.

David Henderson, Castle manager, has taken prints and cards to sell in the shop there. Lets hope they have a busy season. Its well worth a visit if you are in the area. There are more images if you look in Perthshire landscape paintings.

I attended the Menzies Clan gathering last weekend and the castle manager, Scott thought I should visit the gallery in Aberfeldy for some artwork. While I was at the gallery, I saw a painting of the Menzies clan doing their annual walk to Weem. That painting interests me the most because everyone who attends the gathering feels a sense of kinship and the painting captured a moment that we share. I wonder if this painting is available as a print?

Thank you for your enquiry about the painting of the clan gathering at Castle Menzies. I did originally do the painting with the intention of making prints from it. I have tried several times and for some reason I am just not happy with the quality of the prints I get. I will have another look at it and if I do manage to produce something I am happy with, I will get back in touch with you. I hope you enjoyed your Clan Gathering weekend, the weather was certainly very good with the sun shining for you all and everyone at the Aberfeldy Show.
